I was invited to the Church, located in Dupont Circle, today to show off their bees to those assembled to help plant their growing food garden. the produce from this garden is intended to support the church's efforts feeding the local homeless population.
The garden's roses were in full bloom, and the other flowers in the garden are providing abundant forage for the bees.
The garden was in such a thriving state that the hive was almost completely hidden behind some lilies (I think?).
Speaking of thriving, this hive was one of our April 16 installations and it has taken off. I installed the second box on the hive. This deep, also, had been painted by the younger parishioners.
